Commission Terms

Last updated September 23, 2024 (added a 'what to expect' section)The backgrounds in fully-finished pieces are either in-game screenshots from WoW or royalty-free stock (with some painting over for either), and are added free of charge. I will not do fully custom painted backgrounds.Characters with lots of feathers (including wings), complicated body patterns, or very long fur will be counted as detailed designs for anything above a sketch.I can do multiple characters in a picture! I do not do multi-character discounts, however, and the additional characters will be priced according to their level of detail as well.Visual references are required. I will not work from descriptive text, or images that come with long bullet-lists of requested differences. Applications containing references that I suspect have been created with generative AI (AI "art") will be rejected.Things I Will Not Draw:- Robots and mechanical things, futuristic sci-fi (power suits, guns), or military subjects- Extreme gore (blood and light battle wounds are okay)- Art that promotes hatred, bigotry, or is insensitive- Explicit adult art (while I have no personal qualms with drawing artistic nudity, most social media sites do. As that would prevent me from posting your commission to my main accounts there, I am less likely to choose a commission that requests that.)- Things that are clearly fetish art despite not being explicit in nudity (eg/ you can request a pose that makes the bottom of a paw visible, but I will not make it the focal point of the image – in composition nor action.)- I have the right to refuse a commission for whatever reason, and am not required to elaborate on why. Please respect that. What to Expect:- I take on two batches of commissions at a time, and only take payment for the first one right away. A batch usually takes me about 1.5-2 months to complete, and is worked on approximately in the order the slots were paid in (sketches and lines+flats pieces are usually finished first). This means that if you happen to be the last person on the list, you may have that long of a wait until your piece is finished.- Once Batch 1 is done, I send out invoices (and followup e-mails) for Batch 2 and work on that one. If you have a preference (for budgeting reasons, for example) as to which batch you want to be in, please mention that somewhere in your form.- I only send art updates with the first two sketch stages, after the second sketch is done the piece will be worked on to completion after the pieces before it in queue are finished. The Trello that you will be linked to in my initial e-mail is always kept up to date, so you can see where I am at.- Sometimes I can be a little slow, but rest assured that I do not take on more commissions until I am done (or very close to done) the ones currently on my plate! :)By buying a commission from me you agree to all terms and conditions below. These terms are stated for my own protection as an artist.Commission Terms:- Clients must be 18+ years old.- PayPal payments only, in USD. (Canadian customers can pay through eTransfer, but the amount must be converted from the USD total at current market value. Let me know in the form if you want to do this.)- Invoices must be paid in full before any work is started.- I keep accurate track of my progress and queue on Trello. You’ll get a link to it in your initial quote e-mail.- For full illustration pieces, you will get two sketch updates before the piece is done to completion - one very rough pose sketch, and a refined version that includes all details to be added. Please make any requests for pose and body type changes during the first sketch only, and for missing details during the second. Once the piece is finished, only minor edits will be done free of charge (minor color changes, small missing details), otherwise extra fees will be incurred.- I will do revisions at the end if a mistake is my own fault, but once the second sketch is approved no major edits will be done. Please make sure to address any concerns you may have during the sketch phase - better to tell me something I might already know than to have a large revision in the final piece.- There are no refunds once the work is completed. If you unexpectedly need to cancel your commission before it is finished, then the refund amount will be adjusted according to how much progress has been made on the piece. Know that cancelling once work has been started will affect your likelihood of getting a new slot from me in the future.- You, the client, can re-post your commission: it is for your personal, private use (such as icons, profile images, forum signatures, additions to personal galleries, printouts for yourself). Limited alterations of the artwork, such as cropping or adding text, are permitted as long as it’s for your personal use. Do not edit out my signature when sharing to personal galleries or printing it. Feel free to ask if you had something in mind that was not listed here!- The piece may not be changed or adjusted through the use of machine learning or derived technologies. Do not use AI programs to edit the art, or use it for training AI-based datasets.- Clients are NOT permitted, under any circumstances, to use any part of their commissioned artwork for Non Fungible Tokens (NFTs). Use of the artwork for any advertising or profits associated with NFTs, cryptocurrency, or any other blockchain-based technologies is strictly prohibited.- Your character is always yours, but since these are private commissions, you have no commercial rights to the artwork itself and thus cannot legally use it to make money. I retain the rights to the image. Do not repurpose the art for logos or any other commercial advertisement.- I may sell prints of this artwork in the future. If you would like your commission to be excluded from that possibility, you must let me know within the window of your commission being worked on, or in your submitted form.- Commissions will be posted to Patreon at a higher resolution than what is posted publicly, but the highest (original) resolution of the art will only be sent to you, the client.———————————————If you would like to contact me for a commission (and if I am accepting slots at the time) please fill out the form linked at the top of the page. If your request is chosen, I'll get back to you with a quote once it's closed for responses! I do not send custom quotes outside of my initial e-mails to chosen slots - please use the chart on the Prices page to get an idea of what to expect.

Please make sure to read through the terms and information. By submitting a commission request, you agree to all of them.If the form is closed it means that I am not currently open. Keep an eye on my Twitter/Tumblr/FA for slot openings!

Commission Request Form

Commission slot selections are artist's choice - they are not first-come-first-served. Know that you are NOT guaranteed a slot just by submitting your form. I will contact the commissioners whose pieces I'm choosing for the current round, and once those are all confirmed I will send out a quick e-mail to those who did not get a slot. I do not save declined applications so you will need to resubmit next time if you would like to try again.
